|Sweater-- H&M, Blouse-- Old Navy, Jeans-- H&M, Shoes-- Nine West, Random necklace worn as bracelet|
Sometimes I just marvel at the beauty that is life. I wear jewelry and color and high heels, things that I find inspiring and beautiful, which contrast the marvels in engineering that I work on everyday, a beautiful necklace and an architectural pair of heels juxtaposed against the engineering marvels in which I find beauty-- pumps and compressors and forty-foot tall reactors. Today, at work, I wondered how it's all possible. How did we live in the forest and run in the fields and stick our hands in the river for fish one day and, in such a relatively short time, take our world to a place where sustaining life is almost guaranteed and we can use our energy to completely make way for thoughts and ideas and art and fashion?
On the wave of the future, the world has made way for thoughts in my head like the way this gold sweater photographed is not ideal-- the almost-lacquered shine of the sweater, as though someone took a paintbrush or a can of spray paint to it, or that I really want ideas for a new hairstyle, or that I have a severe want to work on my self-photography skills probably don't resemble those of our predecessors, but perhaps on a more fundamental level they do. At any rate, as they say, perfection doesn't exist. And people always have a chance to get better. That's all folks.
